The new Awesomatix A800R touring car has the following features:
1. Compact, shorter lower deck with a completely new shape
The new shape of the chassis allows the car to dip and roll more without touching down on the STrack.
Combined with the new carbon lower control arms, the wheelbase remains the same as previous kits.
2. New dampers
The new shocks have an even lower center of gravity. New shocks offer independent adjustment of damping level and suspension spring rate.
The new dampers have 2 built-in modes for progressive damping and for linear damping.
The main improvements of the new dampers are smoother operation at slow damping and improved characteristics at fast damping.
The additional ball bearing in the damper-suspension linkage provides a noticeable reduction in initial negative friction during suspension operation.
3. New rear body mount
New rear body mount design reduces weight and polar moment of inertia.
4. New battery mounts
The new design holds the battery more securely in place and allows for easier adjustment to different battery lengths.
5. New front ram plates
The new front ram design is driven by the significantly shorter front end of the lower deck.
The front body posts remain in the same location, but the new lower ram plate continues the trend of reducing friction on the chassis.
6. New Carbon Lower Control Arms
The new lower control arms have a curved design toward the four corners of the vehicle, a shape dictated by the shorter chassis and new shocks.
7. New bulkheads
The new design of the bulkheads is inspired by the shorter chassis, the new dampers, and the new control arms.
8. New stabilizer bars.
The new design of the anti-roll bars is determined by the narrower chassis and the new lower control arms.
All of the above features combine to provide a lower overall polar moment of inertia and a lower center of gravity for the A800R vehicle!
This new model is able to change direction much faster, which means it is more agile and responsive.
The new car also finishes the run stronger as there is much less friction on the chassis.
There will be both a carbon chassis version (A800RC) and an aluminum chassis version (A800RA).
All transmission parts, motor mounts and top decks are compatible with the current A800MMX.
